• Coordinates the interview process with selected candidates and hiring managers
• Serves on interview panels for all selected candidates
• Conducts all background and reference checks for selected candidates
• Conducts on-boarding of new employees, including completion of all benefits enrollment and organization-specific requirements
• Effectively use PayCom as the ATS and HRIS system
• In collaboration with the Recruiter, develops and enhances employee on-boarding/orientation process
• Conducts 30-60-90 check-ins with new employees and their direct supervisor
• Conducts exit interviews and analysis of exit reasons to determine causes of employee departures and offer recommendations to improve employee retention
• Solicits and tracks quarterly nominations for employees who demonstrate MDC values
• Ensures awareness of all applicable regulatory employee related and bargaining agreement laws and changes and ensures they are disseminated throughout the organization as needed
• Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Communication and/or related field and three (2) years of experience working in a Generalist role or with generalist assigned duties
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of federal and state employment laws/regulations including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, unemployment, and workers compensation
• Approachable and effective with ability to influence change across all levels of the organization.

• Ability to use skillset in all assigned human resources specialties
• Experience in a fully integrated HRIS system, PayCom knowledge preferred
• Experience with benefit administration
• Ability to work with senior managers throughout organization
• Professional HR Credential, i.e. SHRM-CP (Certified Professional) or Professional in HR (PHR), or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire date.
• Working within a union environment is a plus
