Just down the road in Bibb County, MBUSI has launched the production of high-performance lithium-ion batteries. Purpose of the Position:
Under general supervision this position will be responsible for developing tools and reports used to processes supplier KPI Data. The position will be responsible for performing general analytics on existing data sets; as well as gathering and analyzing data requirements, performing analysis on different databases.
Essential Functions:
Develop Tools to help bring transparency to the supply chain
Improve current data storage, accessibility, and processing strategy to increase Data flow through the team
Reduce Team Member Data collection efforts allowing for more focus on Execution
Analysis and optimization of the data base to increase time efficiency in run time, and diminished application and server issues
Work with IT on a sustainable support Structure for Tools developed
Examines and identifies data patterns and trends to help answer business questions and improve decision making.
Responsible for gathering and analyzing data requirements, and developing logical and physical databases and data models. Further development of databases to address business requirements, ensuring system scalability, performance and reliability.
Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.
Work safely 100% of the time.
Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.
Education:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Co-Op/ internship and/ or up to 2 years’ professional experience in the following area(s): Data Science / Data Analysis.
Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
Proficient in Python
Proficient in Excel / Access (VBA)
In-depth knowledge and expertise of database technologies, along with solid programming, design and system analysis skills.
Ability to communicate and network well at all levels in support of functional area goals.
Ability to orchestrate and lead projects and to organize and lead meetings to next steps and conclusions.
Preferred Skills:
Web Based Application Development; Machine learning / AI Development; Predictive Analysis
