*Job Description:*

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse to join one our Hospitals for a 13 week contract with possible extensions! As a Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and other interventional procedures. *Responsibilities and Duties:*

* Prepare the cardiac catheterization lab, ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and medications are available.
* Assist the cardiologist or interventional radiologist during procedures, providing critical support and anticipating their needs.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ cardiovascular health, including reviewing medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and analyzing diagnostic test results.
* Monitor patients’ vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and oxygen levels throughout procedures, identifying and promptly addressing any changes or complications.
* Administer medications, including sedatives, analgesics, and anti-arrhythmics, as ordered by the physician.
* Monitor patients’ response to medications and adjust dosages as necessary to ensure optimal patient comfort and safety.
* Have extensive knowledge of EMR software systems.
* Have the ability to do on-call requirements with a 30 minute call back time.
* Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely and accurate communication of patient information.
* Respond swiftly and effectively to any emergent situations or complications that may arise during cardiac catheterization procedures- such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), defibrillation, and administration of emergency medications.
* Adhere to established protocols and guidelines to ensure patient safety and quality care delivery.

*Qualifications:*

* Valid and current RN license.
* Some EP-Pacemakers & AICDSs, some IR embolization experience preferred
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a cardiac catheterization lab
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications AHA.
* Proficient knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and hemodynamics.
* Strong understanding of cardiac catheterization procedures and interventional techniques.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities with attention to detail.
