Job Summary and Qualifications
In collaboration with the EMS Manager, assists in developing Medical City Plano’s Emergency Services (EMS) Medical Control program.
What qualifications you will need:
Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure/certification/registration:Texas State RN License or compact license is accepted. Certification or licensure as a Paramedic in Texas required. Current AHA BLS and ACLS certification with instructor status preferred. Must become an AHA instructor within a year of hire. Current certification as an EMS Instructor with Texas Department of State Health Services preferred. Must become a TX DSHS EMS instructor within one year of hire.
Experience:Previous clinical and or teaching experience in ED, CCU, or EMS, preferred.
Special Skills & Qualifications:Ability to listen, interact and effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Baccalaureate degree in nursing or related field preferred.
AGES OF PATIENTS SERVED:No responsibility for direct patient care within the hospital. Will serve as a resource for EMS personnel during field ride-outs
