Job Summary And Qualifications
- This is A Full Time Nights position, 7pm-7am *
Our Psych Registered Nurses raise the bar by providing clinical expertise and the highest quality care in the most compassionate way. RNs on our Behavioral Health Unit administer therapeutic measures prescribed and delegated by the physician.
- Performs comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient, following standards of care and disease specific protocols
- Participates in patient education and rehabilitation and provides interpretation of treatment to the patient and the patient’s family
- Demonstrates clinical knowledge of psychiatric nursing and maintains the highest quality of comprehensive patient care
- Coordinates unit activities and assures accountability of all assigned tasks
What Qualifications You Will Need
- ADN required / BSN preferred
- Texas RN license or compact license is accepted
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression (SAMA) required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- One (1) year of RN experience in an acute care hospital required (in a psychiatric inpatient unit preferred)
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

Our main campus is a Level III Trauma Center. We provide emergency services at our main campus and at Medical City ER Stonebridge. We have cardiovascular and neurological services. We offer general surgery, orthopedics and women’s services. Additionally, a Level II neonatal intensive care unit and behavioral health services. Medical City McKinney is a Primary Stroke Center.
