Pay Grade

Salaried grade 6, 8 or 10, depending on qualifications.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (flexible hours as needed)

This is an onsite position with up to three days remote work available, depending on business need.

Job Summary

This is an opportunity to work within our Category and Shopper Development department which includes a team of Analysts, Space Management, Merchandising, and Category Management personnel dedicated to support our retail partners in the maximization of the Baked Sweet Goods and Granola categories. Responsibilities will include:

• Work with retailers and internal teams to develop strategic growth plans for a category at that retailer
• Conduct analysis to identify opportunities at key retailers
• Develop Modular/Planogram merchandising recommendations for key retailers
• Interpret data to maximize product and category sales
• Develop customer presentation based on research and analysis they have conducted and insights discovered
• Attend and present to retail customers as needed
• Identify new and relevant applications for existing data
• Work closely with the Category Insights team to share and develop best practices, category analysis & tools, etc.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Merchandising, or related field
• One (1) or more years of experience in category management, merchandising, space management and/or shopper marketing processes or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrated ability in merchandising, planogramming, retail operations and space management
• Advanced knowledge of analytical tools and practices using Microsoft Excel (I.e. advanced formulas, statistical tools, pivot tables, etc.) or similar tool
• Ability to effectively and creatively analyze and synthesize data and learning into actionable insights and solutions
• Must be able to draw conclusions and provide key insights from data and research; conclusions drawn and recommendations made are often beyond the scope of the original assignment
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal relationship building and customer service skills
• Ability to view a situation from all angles and cast a vision of a desired future state
• High level of initiative and drive – ability to prioritize a variety of projects and tasks to create focus and to consistently meet and exceed goals
• Strong organizational skills –ability to get things done and to organize people, activities, and processes to be effective and create efficiencies
• Willing and able to work on a team-oriented environment
• Ability to perform with minimal supervision in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Willingness to travel

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or advanced degree in Market Research, Data Analytics, Consumer Insights, etc.
• Three (3) or more years of experience in category management, merchandising, space management, and/or shopper marketing processes
• Experience with tableau or other database mining tools
• Understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies as well as an understanding of the industry resources relevant to selling, shopper marketing, and category management
• Working knowledge of the retail and/or Consumer Packaged Goods industries and the processes, practices, trends, and technology that impact them
• Functional understanding of statistical methods and their implementation within a business context
• Familiarity with consumer panel data and shopper data (I.e. Nielsen Homescan, Dunnhumby, Spectra, etc.)
• Working knowledge of shopper insights research including consumer survey research methodologies, data tabulation, and crosstab multivariate analysis
