This position is within the Pathology Research Core (PRC). Primary responsibilities reside in our immunostaining area. Set up and perform established IHC, IF, RNA-ISH, and multiplex protocols. Establish new stains by using known controls and working with a pathologist to optimize conditions. Review controls to determine staining success. Maintain lab equipment and supplies. Collect, enter, and summarize data. Work directly with core lab customers to support project goals, grant commitments, and development needs. Additional responsibilities may include tissue sectioning, slide imaging, and image review. Work well in a team environment and execute assignments independently.

Requires bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or other relevant science.
Must exhibit a solid understanding of lab techniques, equipment, and safety. Must have the ability to organize and carry out laboratory techniques independently and in a team setting. Experience with basic data analysis is required. This position requires demonstrated writing skills.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $23.56 per hour.
