Position description
Seeking full-time MR technologist who is a flexible, adaptable team player with excellent communication skills, who is also very patient-care oriented. Needs to have a dedicated work ethic and the ability to remain calm and professional in a high-stress, demanding, multi-tasking work environment while maintaining focus on the patient’s needs. Must be detail-oriented, possessing excellent MR-imaging technical skills with knowledge and experience in the major divisions; Neuro, Body and MSK with Breast and Cardiac also preferred. Must be willing to place IV’s and know how to use a programmable injector. Needs to demonstrate very strong MR safety practices. Must be open and willing to accept direction and guidance from physicians, leadership and team members to fulfill department needs.

Qualifications
Graduation from an ARRT-certified Health Science Program. One year technologist experience in one of the following: Radiography, MRI or Nuclear Medicine.

Additional qualifications
Knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and appropriately interpret information. relative to the patient’s age-specific needs. Technical competence with general radiographic equipment and procedures.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, making decisions and directing work and patient flow to maximize operational efficiency.
Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and completion of MRI-related courses preferred.

License or certification
ARRT certification in one of the following: Radiography (R), MRI (MR) or Nuclear Medicine (N). Arizona certification in one of the following: Radiography (CRT) or Nuclear Medicine (CNMT). ARRT (MR) required within 18 months of hire. Basic Life Support Certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Competency.

Schedule details
Routinely 30 hours per week as 10-hour shifts, weekdays. Primarily North Phoenix location with possible rotation to Tempe and East Scottsdale sites. Training may include day, evening and weekend shifts at all sites; Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe. Following training, Hospital call will be required on rotational overnights, weekends and holidays.

Weekend schedule
Rotational weekend call and holiday shift coverage are required.
