The Opportunity
We are seeking a part-time, 16-hour Administrative Coordinator to support Home Hospital onsite at Massachusetts General Hospital on the weekends. The schedule includes both Saturday and Sunday shifts from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Please note, Home Hospital is a 7 day per week operation and delivering care days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. There will be a rotation for weekend and holiday shifts. This role may require local travel to other Mass General Brigham sites during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of staffing shortages or other extenuating circumstances (for cross-coverage purposes).
Role Overview
Under the direction of the Administrative Manager, the Administrative Coordinator is an integral member of our multi-disciplinary team. Not only do they work in close collaboration with the nurses, providers, and managers, but they also serve as the liaison between various internal groups/departments/external resources and work directly with patients and families to coordinate screening, consent, and enrollment into the Home Hospital Service. Administrative support responsibilities include tracking referrals, admissions, document management, communicating all aspects of the workflow status, promoting an ongoing culture of collaboration and efficiency throughout the patient intake process, scheduling, collection of patient supplies and equipment, and other tasks/projects as assigned.
This is a unique opportunity to work autonomously supporting the MGH’s Home Hospital Service, while also functioning as part of the newer, larger Mass General Brigham Home Hospital team supporting entities across our system. As foundational hires, our Administrative Coordinators will be helping us build this function out and define what this model will look like future-state!
Are you ready to join our team and help us advance home health? Qualifications
Whether you are seeking to gain more experience in the healthcare industry or a proven healthcare professional seeking a new challenge, the Administrative Coordinator role is the opportunity for you. The ideal candidate profile is an organized self-starter who is comfortable with change and multitasking. When hiring, we look for candidates who not only possess relevant skills, but also positive attitudes and genuine passion for the work.
