Fins up! Margaritaville Resort Fort Myers Beach is seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the sales efforts of South Florida’s most exciting new hotel scheduled to open in September of 2023.

The Director of Sales and Marketing functions as the strategic business leader of all Sales, Marketing and Revenue channels at the resort. This position works in partnership with the Vice President of Resort Operations and TPI’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing to develop, direct, and support the implementation of short/long-term revenue strategies for all resort revenue centers. This included guest rooms, meeting space, restaurant outlets, retail, spa and aquatic amenities.

As the pre-opening Director of Sales and Marketing, this position will play a critical role in establishing segment, pricing, channel strategies, and the development and deployment of a comprehensive strategic marketing plan. Furthermore, they will lead the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of the resort’s sales, marketing and revenue team. Once the team is hired, they will ensure they are trained and aligned with all strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities include: *

Develops, energizes, and leads a motivated, competent, and cohesive team maintaining adequate staffing, productivity, and the achievement of all objectives within budget

• Directs the activities of all outside agencies and internal staff on local and in-house advertising campaigns; including but not limited to Public Relations, Digital Marketing, & Social Media
• Oversees the planning, production, and distribution of all marketing and communications materials
• Strategizes with the in-house marketing team to implement effective campaigns
• Plans and coordinates public affairs, and communications efforts, including public relations and community outreach effort
• Prepares and administers the resort’s Sales & Marketing Plan and Budget
• Directly manages both existing key client relationships and fosters the development of new accounts and relationships
• Reviews the Smith Travel Research STAR report, and competitive shopping reports and uses other resources to maintain an awareness of the hotel’s market position
