Automotive is one of the core growth verticals for Maersk. This position would involve managing a portfolio of some accounts in the Automotive segment. You will also be responsible for bringing in new logo Automotive accounts. As part of the sales process, you will be responsible for creating a multi-product/solution pipeline and running the opportunity management process ensuring there is sufficient breadth and depth to meet the overall growth objectives over the next 2-5 years.
The primary objective for this role will be to focus on account management (growth and retention) across several key clients and would include creating and developing compelling value propositions for customers to support their goals and the Integrator strategy of Maersk.

As a Global Client Manager, you will be working at the center of Maersk as a Global Integrator of Container Logistics, i.e. full end to end supply chain solutions. Supported by a team of specialists, including project managers with extensive experience and a sales team dedicated to customer success within one of our strategic verticals.

Key responsibilities
– Engage in consultative selling across all levels of the customers organization including the C-Suite
– Develop Account plans and development roadmaps outlining the growth opportunities and strategic engagement with these customers with specific growth/partnership initiatives.
– Ensure that opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling are identified based on a deep understanding of the customer’s business model and pain points.
– Position Maersk as their advisor of choice
– Deepen and widen the relationships between Maersk and the customer through active stakeholder management across all relevant geographies and business divisions
– Create and maintain visibility of sales pipeline and activity / results reporting
– Support operational implementation and handover to operations once the business has been landed
– Ensure contracts and agreements for specific customer solutions are validated and signed off (service agreements, credit agreements, supplier contracts, etc.) as per corporate guidelines
– Sharing of best practices within the team / locations
We are looking for
– 10+ years of sales experience in logistics and supply chain with a focus of on consumer based customers
– Track record for successful performance with mode agnostics Solution sales orientation
– Ability to start in 30 days following offer.
Technical and Personal Skills:
– Ability to engage in consultative selling with customers
– Ability to articulate value creation by providing integrated solutions combining the Maersk products and services
– Self motivated, independent starter who is also a good team player
