SC/DV Cleared Systems Engineer – Glasgow – 12 month contract
Linux (RedHat), Networking, Cisco, Juniper, NSX, System Upgrades
An opportunity has arisen for a DV Cleared Systems Engineer in Glasgow on a 12 month initial contract.
The Systems Engineer will be working on a number of system upgrades within a highly secure environment such as updating RedHat, Juniper, Cisco tech onto the latest version as well as supporting projects adding additional capability.
The Systems Engineer will be expected to be onsite at least 4 times a month in Glasgow however there is scope for the role to be based out London.
Ideally the candidate will have current DV Clearance however we would be able to consider SC Clearance and willingness to undergo Developed Vetting check.
Key Skills
- Linux (RedHat)
- Shell Scripting (Bash, Python)
- Experience maintaining production Linux environments
- Experience maintaining production Linux environments
- Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) – for routing configuration and optimization
- Switch configuration and VLAN management
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools
- Knowledge of network security elements like Firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPN
- Hands-on experience configuring Cisco/Juniper devices
- Knowledge of network virtualization concepts and NSX components
