About the Position:
Lower Columbia College is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and creative instructor who values

This position will be
responsible for developing and teaching upper and lower division education courses as part of the Teacher Education Bachelor of Applied
Science and Education Associate degree programs. The successful candidate will teach courses including, but not limited to Paraeducator
basics, Introduction to Education, Linguistically Diverse Education, Social Skill Development and Trauma Informed Teaching, Advanced
Language and Literacy, Professionalism, Collaboration and Classroom Leadership, various methods courses and supervision of field
placement/student teaching. As full-time faculty, this position will also advise students, participate in curriculum, and program
development, participate in professional development, engage in and perform assessment activities, attend faculty and committee meetings,
and perform other duties as assigned.
This position will join a team of faculty, staff and administration who are collaborative,
innovative, and supportive. The environment is fast paced, team-orientated and adaptive to respond to the ever-evolving field of education.
Courses are delivered through multiple modalities and at various times including online and hybrid with in-person instruction required. LCC

The Instructor position is 173 contract days (fall, winter,
spring). Courses are delivered through multiple modalities including online, hybrid, and in-person. The salary range is $58,762 to $81,011
based on education and experience. Please note the salary range will be adjusted for the 2023-2024 year to reflect the
legislatively funded cost-of-living increase. The Education Instructor reports to the Dean of Instructional Programs.
