The Los Angeles Times is looking for a part-time editorial assistant to support the newsroom.
Job Description
Applicants must be team players, organized and self-starting. They should be smart, flexible, adaptive, eager to please and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Preference will be given to individuals with journalistic ambition, as the editorial assistants do research and some basic web production.
This position is listed as Editorial Assistant and is included in the Los Angeles Times Guild. The editorial assistants work in the El Segundo, Calif., office. Occasional night and weekend work is possible.

The pay scale the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting is $22.46 – $22.69 and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, licenses, certifications, and other business or organizational needs. Compensation will be determined based on the above factors along with the requirements of the position. At The L.A.
