Alaant Workforce Solutions is recruiting a full-time, permanent Social Worker for a non-profit which assists developmentally disabled folks live, learn, work, and become empowered members of society. This opportunity is in Schenectady, NY.

 

We are seeking a professional & empathetic candidate with effective communication skills, attention to detail, and expect a new day every day!

 

Hours and Benefits for the Social Worker:

• Monday—Friday, 35-hour work week!

  • 100% in person!

• Salary: $50,000

Responsibilities for the Social Worker:

Responsible for providing assessments and therapeutic services to assigned case load!

• Provide diagnostic, preventative, or rehabilitative services to clients while maintaining community standards

  • Document clinical records, diagnostic assessment reports, individual plans of treatment, and treatment notes
  • Crisis intervention

• Conduct mental health counseling & advocacy to ensure best form of care is received
• Attend in-service trainings & participate in agency committees as assigned
• Develop knowledge of OPWDD and agency policies + procedures

  • Report any violations or injuries
  • Comply with HIPAA policies

Setting: Clinic, In-Patient + Out-Patient

 

Requirements for the Social Worker:

• NYS Social Work License required (LCSW)
• Master of Social Work preferred
• 0-1+ years treatment experience with Developmentally Disabled demographic

  • Understanding of different behavioral styles

• Experience using MS Office Suite
• Valid NYS Drivers License
