Long Trail School, www.longtrailschool.org, seeks a part-time Human Resources Generalist.
The HR Generalist facilitates employment matters across a wide range of HR functional areas, including: employee relations; talent acquisition; screening, reference, and background checks; onboarding; training; performance management; compensation and benefits administration; benchmarking; health and wellness; diversity and inclusion; workers’ compensation; and policy compliance. The HR Generalist builds effective relationships with managers and employees to support all phases of the employment cycle from recruiting through departure, assures compliance with policies and procedures, and develops strategies to promote workforce diversity.
This position reports to the Director of Finance. LTS expects the needs of the positon to require between 10 to 15 hours each week.
Minimum job qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources with a demonstrated history of responsibility in crucial areas, including employee relations and recruiting
• Knowledge of laws and regulations affecting the Human Resources function
• Experience working in and recruiting for a diverse community
• PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
• Will happily consider a candidate who lives outside Vermont and would primarily work remotely.
