Purchasing Coordinator

Job Purpose Summary
The purchasing coordinator will play a key role in the purchase of products and services for our family of restaurants. The purchasing coordinator will support the purchasing workflow between vendor partnerships and our restaurant locations to ensure the accurate and timely receipt of products. They serve as liaisons, analysts, and vital support partners to ensure our teams have the products and services needed to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Position Summary
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Amazon Business & Webstaurant Restaurant Accounts:
Support and authorize purchases for entire organization
Update and maintain Purchase Order Guides
Research new and alternative products for quality and price comparison
Coordinate location between the two sites and potentially others to guarantee purchasing of best quality and price items for the organization
Paper Goods and Janitorial Supplies Vendor
Coordinate with supplier as needed to update and spec items
Maintain database on the pricing of materials, products, or supplies
Follow up with any situations: late deliveries, shorts, pricing errors
Conduct yearly audits of pricing with Vendor to assure that we’re being charged correctly
Support for Purchasing workflow
Review invoices and process substitutions
Assist in data entry and analysis for culinary recipes in CrunchTime! Database
Assist Purchasing Director with additional administrative responsibilities:
Updating system product codes
Auditing pricing for inconsistencies across various accounts
Job Qualifications
1-3 years experience in purchasing preferred
Hospitality experience – Preferably Kitchen Operations or understanding of Kitchen Equipment/Smallwares
Highly organized and detail oriented
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Strong customer service skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word
positive attitude, and ability to work as a team member.
Experience with CrunchTime! preferred
Experience with POS Systems a plus
Ability to work on-site in our corporate office in Raleigh, NC
