This is a full-time engineering role based in Sunnyvale, CA.
The mission of the Anti-Abuse AI team is to build trust in every interaction on LinkedIn. The team uses a wide suite of state-of-the-art Machine Learning techniques to identify patterns in large-scale attacks and take down attackers proactively. As a Senior engineer in the team, you will be responsible for building and owning models and systems that can stay ahead of the ever-evolving attacker strategies. You will leverage techniques like anomaly detection, embedding generation, graph clustering, and sequence modeling to design solutions, while also engaging in attack investigation to deepen your domain knowledge.
LinkedIn’s Machine Learning Engineers are both data/research scientists and software engineers, who develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms. Unlike other companies that separate these roles, our engineers work on projects from ideation to implementation.
Responsibilities:
You will build and own detection algorithms, models, systems that will stay ahead of the ever-evolving attacker strategies.
You will analyze attack data, identify patterns, engineer features, productionalize & maintain models that will take automated action on attackers
You will be working with partner data science & analytics teams, product & infrastructure teams.
You will identify, leverage and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve defenses and engineering productivity
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent technical experience
2+ years of industry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant work experience
MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline
Experience with machine learning and/or data mining.
Experience with software engineering in a large scale environment.
Experience with data analysis and visualization.
Experience with Scala and Spark.
Ability to diagnose technical problems and debug code
Experience with fighting fraud or abuse.
Suggested Skills:

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $128,000 – $210,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
