The Abuse Content Team is responsible for addressing instances of content based abuse on the LinkedIn platform, the Abuse Content Team deals with various forms of undesirable content such as spam, misinformation, hate speech, and harassment. The team manages crucial systems like UCF and works closely with the data team to implement classifiers that identify and filter out harmful content. This collaboration ensures that the information presented to LinkedIn members is both professional and appropriate.
Currently, the team is broadly organized into three main areas:
– Public Content Abuse
– Private Content Abuse
-Content Abuse Foundation.
Responsibilities:
– Develop strategies, setup direction of the content abuse area. Collaborating with stakeholders like PM, AI leads to propose and deliver content abuse solutions.
– Give technical guidance to the engineers, ensure the right tech decision is made.
– Resource and Priority management. Make sure the team always focus on the right priority, handles roadmap planning based on priority and resource
– Develop Talent and Grow leaders in the team to make the team scale and expand scope and deliver high quality work.
Basic Qualifications:
– BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent technical experience.
– 10+ years of industry experience in large distributed systems.
– 5+ years of experience in software engineering/technical management and people management.
– 5+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and large-scale software engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
– MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline
– 6+ years of software engineering management experience
– 5+ years exp managing managers
