Summary of Position:
Under the direct supervision of the Supply Chain Manager – Last Mile Logistics, this position is a more senior role in Supply Chain. This position’s primary focus is managing the last mile logistics short and long-term plan for their specified area. This includes the forecasting of trucking demand, carrier management, carrier optimization, analysis of data, reconciliation of billing, and understanding the total landed cost on location. This role comes with increasing levels of responsibility to be self-sufficient, within the role, while being an active team member in keeping LOS ahead of the curve.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Supply Chain or Business-related degree, or a 3-5 years logistics or high level planning experience
Industry specific experience is considered an asset
ERP / Oracle experience considered and asset
Microsoft Office 365

Primary Responsibilities:
Management of 24/7 last mile distribution team and ownership of plan execution for area of ownership. This includes performance against forecasted plan, carrier performance and cost management.
Works closely with Proppant Planning team. This role develops the last mile logistics plan for all jobs in area of oversight. This includes truck count planning, carrier selection, execution strategy (cluster, single job, etc.), route selections & last mile cost management.
Works closely with Supply Chain Manager to develop a strategic carrier portfolio, rates, and agreements.
Responsible for executional carrier management.
Performs KPI and analytic reporting for last mile operation for area of oversight to provide to management team.
Management of logistics system job creation and corresponding transactional management.
Understanding of all active jobs for assigned area.
Actively participates in market research to understand trends in our industry.
Focuses on innovation and creating efficiencies.
Liaise with the Financial Group regarding invoice resolution.
Variable hour work week, but available 24/7.
Frequent travel expectations.

Salary:
$80000-150000/yr
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
