Lake Air Products has an opening to join our Senior Leadership Team! We are seeking a proven leader in manufacturing sales that can lead and direct our Account Managers!

Purpose:

The primary responsibility of the Vice President of Sales and Marketing to is to lead and direct the Account Management team to meet or exceed sales revenue, sales profitability, and budgetary objectives. This role involves strategic planning, managing people, selling, leveraging technology, and improving processes. This person will also give direction to the sales team on pricing, margin management, and new business opportunities. This position is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
• Develops and directs market research activities, develops marketing plans, and manages the contract sales network.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates the online marketing of the organization’s services.
• Directs strategic sales forecasting activities and sets sales performance goals.
• Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, pricing and margins.
• Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
• Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy to promote sales.
• Represents company at trade association meetings.
• Delivers sales presentations to clients personally or in coordination with account managers.
• Assists account managers with maintaining customer relationships and closing deals.
• Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
• Prepares sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
• Monitors and evaluates the activities and services of the competition.
• Develops market research objectives to help the organization meet its strategic goals.
• Designs market research customer surveys and other customer contact research programs, directs their implementation, analyzes results to determine potential markets for products, and prepares reports.
• Review data and present marketing and product development forecasts to management.
• Defines promotional activities, publicizing company products and services through the press, trade shows, sales force, and the Internet.
• Oversees pre-contract review between account manager and customer and participates in negotiations regarding contract terms and conditions.
• Makes sales lead follow ups to potential and existing customers personally or through account management team.
• Handles inbound sales lead calls.
• Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
• Builds and maintains customer’s relationships.

Qualifications

• 10 years experience in sales and marketing in manufacturing sales
• Ability to manage a team of professionals to carry out department goals
• Ability to interpret metrics, financials, strategic planning and budgets

Compensation

• Exempt, salaried, paid weekly

Work Schedule

• 45 to 50 hours per week, depending on workload, is anticipated. This is a challenging and demanding position, and it is crucial to our success. We expect that the person in this position will devote whatever time is required to ensure their success, as well as that of the company.
