SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Wholesale Planner supports the USA, Canada and Mexico Wholesale businesses by providing analysis and guidance on annual financial and seasonal merchandise plans. The goal of the Planning function is to drive the business through strategic seasonal merchandise planning, controlled inventory management, management of OTB and insightful analysis and strategy.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Seasonally develop topline Merchandise plans in collaboration with Sales Division heads taking into account overall business forecasts and needs
• Develop the Seasonal Merchandise plan for Key accounts as well as Specialty Stores in collaboration with
• Create and maintain all wholesale reporting including, but not limited to: style selling, sales to stock, delivery sell-thru and weekly top-line, shop performance reports, and ATS recaps.
• Assist Director of Planning, in partnership with VP Wholesale and Country leads, to accurately forecast gross wholesale revenue, margin, AUR$ and unit sales by account during quarterly budget process
• Seasonally develop topline Merchandise plans in collaboration with Sales Division heads taking into account overall business forecasts and needs
• In market coordinate roll up of channel projections data from Retail, Wholesale, eCommerce and Outlets in one comprehensive purchase file format
• Key Cross functional partnership with Wholesale, Finance and buying team to execute total MBP seasonal strategy.
• Partner with key accounts’ planning counterparts in driving business:
• Develop seasonal buy plans and help negotiate receipt dollars
• Execute strategy through maintaining a close working relationship with account planning team in-season to chase opportunities and maximize sales
• Propose creative ideas to drive sales while maintaining profitability and minimize risks
• Create key account financial plans across categories that align account KPIs with brand shipment targets with collaborated input from sales, marketing/merchandising and finance teams. Provide Retail sales, Gross margin, Inventory and Turn forecasts against Plan and Last year for assigned Account. Participates in cross-functional alignment on targeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
• Identifies Opportunities and Risks in the business in-season against plan and provides actionable recommendations to improve results
• Analyze and provide detail on account performance by style, climate, region and store. Develops business review to hindsight brand performance for responsible account(s) to include branded space and seasonal marketing initiatives.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for Sales Management, Finance and Marketing to provide detailed overview of business performance by account.
• Ensure financial and non-financial managers are provided highly-accurate information and analysis to help support business decisions.
• Monitor ladder and replenishment forecasts / orders and provide guidance to improve accuracy and account sell-through.
• Contribute to the development of standardized best practice reporting and control methods.
• Build positive working relationships with key account employees within the wholesale account, such as Associate/Assistant Buyers and Planners.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in merchandise and financial planning
• Strong cross-functional partnership skills, highly detail-oriented and organized
• Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint expertise: must be able to analyze large volumes of data in excel and be able to distill analysis into digestible presentations
• Four year college degree
