We are looking for a Global Trade Compliance Specialist with subject matter expertise in import/export regulations and a keen understanding of ITAR and BIS requirements. Your Role
In this role, you will identify compliance issues and bring corrective actions to closure swiftly and appropriately. We will count on your strong organizational skills and ability to build rapport and influence all levels of personnel to understand the urgency of achieving desired results. Reporting to our Site Manager, your typical shift will be Monday – Friday, from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Your Responsibilities
You will maintain U.S. import and export regulatory records, obtain signed acknowledgments and other documents as required, and provide status updates to internal and external stakeholders
Manage the Technology Control Plan (TCP) and maintain applicable record retention
Contribute to learning and audit assessment programs to ensure the implementation and effectiveness of internal export controls and the TCP
Conduct audits, identify errors and compliance concerns, investigate findings, and swiftly resolve issues
Oversee and support corrective actions, including tracking, validating, reporting on, and ensuring corrective actions are closed appropriately and timely
Develop and deliver U.S. Import and Export training to a wide range of employees with various skill and knowledge levels
Review contracts for global trade requirements
Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements
Assist with U.S. government responses or inquiries on global trade and the execution of special projects related to global trade compliance matters
Your Skills and Experiences
5+ years of experience in U.S. Import and Export Regulations
At least 1 year of experience in the aerospace industry
Knowledge of government regulations such as ITAR and BIS
Experience creating and delivering training to differing audiences; knowledge of adult learning styles
Experience in managing a Technology Control Plan in a warehouse environment
Proficient in Lean problem-solving tools such as Decision Trees (DTs), 5-Why, fishbone diagrams, Kaizen, and DIMAIC
Strong investigative skills with experience with USG regulatory disclosures
U.S. citizenship is required to work at this site
