POSITION OBJECTIVE Guides the strategy and execution of Kohl’s paid and organic social campaigns, influencer marketing and public relations efforts to drive sales, traffic, and engagement for Kohl’s. **Kohl’s is open to a remote/hybrid work schedule.**
RESPONSIBILITIES
CONTENT PLANNING & CREATION
Develops the Social Conversation Calendar that delivers against social goals and strategies and utilizes social channel best practices and media learnings to optimize and evolve content. This includes building creative requests, strategy development, and content publishing for all vendor funded initiatives at Kohl’s.
Partner with internal teams and social platform partners to identify new social media opportunities for vendor-funded initiatives, including immersive activations and first-to-market opportunities. Lead strategy & innovation for vendor funded social & influencer extensions for Kohl’s.
Identify and activate social media trends and breaking news for Kohl’s.
Creates and compiles comprehensive seasonal/and or program-oriented recaps, reporting and coverage trackers.
Proactive engagement with influencers and publications across social platforms.
Follow trends in social media to generate ideas and tests.
INFLUENCER MARKETING
Plan and manage influencer program deliverables, including securing products/materials, vetting talent, managing vendor partners, campaign briefings, tracking, content reviews, and program execution.
Identify content sharing opportunities across Kohl’s paid and organic efforts as well as digital extensions across Kohl’s marketing channels.
Act as an internal subject matter expert for influencer marketing, including regularly reporting out on trends, results, and opportunities to a range of internal stakeholders.
Supports ongoing reporting, measurement and analysis of influencer content and performance.
Identifies, develops and implements partnerships with influencers that will elevate Kohl’s and increase awareness.
MONITORING & REPORTING
Key resource for social industry trends, regulations and measurement to consistently improve and iterate capabilities, messaging and content.
Responsible for tracking and maintaining the influencer database to ensure it is up to date and optimized.
Monitors daily media and influencer content with team for inclusion in daily report of news/trends.
Coordinates the activities with various external vendor partners and public relations agencies.
Tracks results and works with agency partners and internal teams to provide comprehensive measurement of co-op program results, including paid + organic social media, influencer content, and publisher partner content.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
Four year degree in marketing, social media, public relations, advertising/media, communications, or other applicable area of study.
Minimum 2-4 years experience in social media content and publishing, influencer marketing and public relations.
Experience working with different social media spaces (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube), including knowledge of paid media and sponsored ad unit types.
Brand or agency experience with influencer marketing for retail, beauty, consumer products, business services, or related industry, including strategy development, talent vetting and identification, and program execution.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in AP style writing skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working in a fast-paced team environment.
Thrives in a fast paced work environment, able to work on multiple programs with multiple components and deadlines.
PREFERRED
Comfortable working with a variety of social media dashboards and monitoring tools.
Experience working with media and social reporting and analytics tools.
Experience working national media, particularly consumer/fashion/lifestyle publications.
Experience working with retail media networks, publishers, content development, and/or event production.
