Position: Human Resources Specialist Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with managers, supervisors, and hourly production associates to foster a collaborative work environment
- Resolve workplace conflicts effectively and coach supervisors on improving absenteeism, turnover, and plant efficiencies
- Conduct informative new hire orientations using approved materials and continuously enhance the orientation process
- Provide coaching and counseling to supervisors to enhance their leadership skills
- Assist in conflict resolution for both hourly and salaried personnel while ensuring consistent policy application
- Manage the Peer Review / Management Review process
- Identify, develop, and implement strategies to reduce turnover, including training initiatives and policy enhancements
Requirements
:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Proven track record in writing, updating, and auditing Affirmative Action Plans
- Thorough understanding of I-9 requirements
- Experience with ADA, EEOC, DOL, OFCCP regulations, and current employment law
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry, with expertise in automated timekeeping systems like Kronos
- Proficiency in conducting new associate orientations
- Strong commitment to team performance, effective coaching, and demonstrated teamwork skills
