CDL Transport Driver Position Purpose

Responsible for the safe and efficient pick up and delivery of construction equipment in a courteous and professional manner

CDL Transport Driver Essential Functions

• Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal
• Safely loads, secures for transport, and unloads equipment, and delivers to and from company premises
• Orients and familiarizes customers on the safe operation and maintenance of delivered equipment
• As required, photographs and inspects equipment with customer or representative to note the condition and obtain customer signature of acceptance
• Obtains customer’s or his representative’s signature on rental contracts when required
• Safely operates and maintains company delivery truck and trailer as well as a clean outward appearance of both
• Abides by all safety rules, policies and procedures
• Understands, abides by and complies with all commercial driver requirements and traffic laws
• Follows all company polices and procedures
• When needed, assist with yard duties

CDL Transport Driver Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Five () years minimum experience in transporting heavy equipment
• Class A CDL License
• Proven knowledge and experience in the safe operation of the machines / equipment being loaded and transported

CDL Transport Driver Physical Requirements

• Pushing / Pulling / Lifting / Carrying up to pounds without assistance
• Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
• Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold and wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes / odors associated with the warehouse
• Physical ability to continually mount and dismount from forklifts / trucks throughout the workday
