Responsibilities of the Senior Technical Designer:
- Manage sample comments to ensure on time fit approvals
- Lead & conduct fittings to determine fit corrections
- Analyze and evaluate garments to develop correct fit specifications and construction details
- Ensure all specs are correctly graded prior to production
- Ensure specs are clearly communicated to vendors within the calendar deadlines
- Ensure that the fit corrections and construction corrections are accurately conveyed to factory
- Communicate with overseas factories regarding constructions and fit issues
- Work with vendors to troubleshoot and correct fit problems
- Identifies opportunities for more effective ways to construct product
Skills/Requirements:
- Candidate should have a minimum of 4-5 years experience in Women’s, and Kids Cut & Sew technical design
- Strong knowledge of fit and how to execute and improve the fit of a garment
- Must have extensive knowledge of patternmaking & garment construction to revise pattern blocks and instruct factory on how to correct their pattern
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to make decisions independently
- Computer literate and have communication skills.
- Ability to analyze workload and plan accordingly
- Must be deadline driven and detail oriented
- Must be able to multitask and work in fast paced environment
- Must have excellent communication and follow through skills
- Must work well in a team environment
- Flexible, adaptable
