Pay: $62,000.00/yr. to $70,000/yr.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides safety leadership and direction to the operations to ensure consistent delivery of safety policies and procedures.
- Performs workplace safety / risk assessments and assists leadership with implementation of improvement suggestions.
- Perform and provide new hire and ongoing safety training sessions to maintain safety/OSHA compliance.
- Lead monthly safety meetings and ensure all required documentation is up to date and compliant with OSHA, PA Certified Safety Committee, as well as any other state requirements and company policy.
- Conducts and document monthly facility safety inspections providing corrective action when necessary. Ensure corrective actions are completed in a timely manner.
- In conjunction with Human Resources, manage worker’s compensation claims and modified duty tasks for employees.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations.
- Report any damages to company property.
- Report any animal welfare related issues to management immediately.
- Report any damages to company vehicles and equipment via eMaintenance work order program.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- AA or BS/BA degree in related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of equivalent safety experience in a manufacturing/production facility required; poultry facility preferred.
- OSHA 30, preferred.
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to independently make decisions with minimum supervision.
- Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize workload.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food process equipment.
- Advanced personal computer skills: Working knowledge of Excel and Outlook.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures.
