Job Details
Responsibilities
- Oversees operational business activities, such as productivity, costs, quality, and safety consistent with company policies and practices in delivering total concrete solutions for designated regions to achieve overall corporate objectives.
- Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Helps establish and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Ensures business activities are ethical and reported accurately and timely.
- Provides guidance to key personnel. Reviews and analyzes performance, costs, and operations to maintain progress toward the achievement of goals and objectives.
- Establishes annual budgets and financial forecasts as required.
- Oversees the strategic marketing plan for designated regions to ensure growth targets are achieved for assigned territories.
- Reviews the planning, budgeting and implementation of ongoing projects and preconstruction efforts.
- Develops and maintains customer relationships to enhance company’s ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency.
- Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field of study
- 12+ years of commercial construction experience at a General Contractor
- A minimum of 5 years of experience at the Executive, VP, or Director level with another established construction company
- Previous field experience with commercial tenant improvements (cleanroom, lab, advanced technology, and/or healthcare project experience strongly preferred)
- Strong subcontractor relationships in the Bay Area
- The ability to read and analyze financial statements such as P & L’s and key financial indicator reports.
- Extensive knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
- Proficient with construction management software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management (Procore or similar), Estimating (Bluebeam, OST, or similar) and scheduling software (MS Projector similar)
