The Sr. HR Advisor is a member of the HR Advisory Services team, supporting all business units across the enterprise. This role executes HR programs, aligns HR strategies with business strategies, streamlines and standardizes HR policies and practices, and helps develop the HR organization to be more effective in managing human capital. The individual in this role must build strong relationships with all work partners across the HR organization, as well as associates and leaders. This role performs duties that span across associate relations, operational excellence, training and team effectiveness.

Ability to manage a high volume of Associate Relations issues, including workplace investigations and EEOC claims

Skill in project management, with the ability to participate on multiple projects simultaneously

Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to all issues
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide counsel and guidance to managers and associates regarding company policies, procedures and employment law
Coach, counsel, and guide managers before the execution of associate disciplinary actions
Conduct internal investigations and prepare all required documentation
Provide associate relations consultation and coaching
Respond to and resolve complaints
Work with legal counsel on lawsuit discovery and litigation preparation
Support the ADA interactive process by handling associate accommodation requests and leave accommodation
Contribute to specific projects as determined in the HR planning process and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives
Ensure that all associate matters are handled with consistency, fairness and in alignment with JM Family’s Core Values
Facilitate HR related training that impacts associates, managers and/or business
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related combination of education and experience
Must have 5+ years of experience in a comparable HR role (associate relations focused)
Demonstrate capability as an internal consultant
Proven ability to influence without direct authority
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated creative problem solving
Action oriented and demonstrates strong initiative
Agile and adaptable with a growth mindset
Previous experience with process improvement work
Experience working in a remote environment including remote investigations
Knowledge of compliance regulations, employment law and practices required
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, ServiceNow, and Workday HRIS, highly preferred.
PHR/SPHR certification and or SHRM-CP a plus
Hybrid work arrangement with a combination of remote/office work (2 days a week in the Deerfield Beach office), and travel to other company locations.
