Our client is based in Long Island, NY and is seeking a Senior Director of HR. This role will be a hybrid model and is eligible for bonus.
In this role you will partner with senior functional leaders on the execution of the business strategy, focused on the creation of new organizational processes, strategies and programs that increase employee engagement, productivity and organizational effectiveness while supporting a culture of inclusion, collaboration and innovation.
Looking for someone with a strong understanding of and extensive experience in talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, training and development, company culture development, and legal compliance.
This position is a critical member of the organization as they support and provide both strategic HR leadership and hands on day-to-day HR functionality.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for leading recruiting efforts to attract best in class talent across all divisions and support Onboarding
• Expand current onboarding programs to focus on consistent, high-value experience for all new employees
• Contribute to long-term goals around business and people development, including succession planning and talent acquisition Employee Relations:
• Develop initiatives that enhance employee engagement, improve working relationships, and provide positive business results, continuous improvement, and overall positive morale
• Assist in developing the organization’s plans and programs as a strategic partner, but particularly from the perspective of the impact on employees
• Work closely with all members of the management team to uphold company mission and values Organizational Development:
• Facilitate the performance management and talent review processes • Provide coaching to business partners to lead an effective management team with a balance of driving high performance and individual development plans • Identify competency, knowledge, and talent gaps and develop specific programs to fill the identified gaps and further enhance associate competency levels and knowledge of the business
• Develop programs related to management training, succession planning, career progression, coaching, etc. Compliance:
• Maintain knowledge of state, federal, and international HR policies, programs, laws, and issues. Understand the differences between domestic and international policies and programs Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience as an HR Generalist • Experience developing and implementing robust talent acquisition strategies in a high-growth company
• Experience managing complex employee relations matters • Strong bias for action with the ability to achieve results under tight deadlines • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
• Ability to streamline processes and drive efficiencies • Excellent verbal, written communication skills
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills • Strong, collaborative work ethic
• Ability to influence across various levels of the organization
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree
