NoPosition Summary InformationGeneral InformationThe Director of Marketing & Recruitment will plan, coordinate, implement, and oversee an integrated and comprehensive marketing and recruiting campaign to drive student enrollments and registrations in the School of Professional & Continuing Education. This position is responsible for developing and executing marketing plans and recruiting strategies to generate interest and demand for the designated portfolio of programs. Plans will incorporate an integrated mix of digital and traditional strategies (such as online/web advertising, search engine marketing, social media ads and posts, direct mail and email, radio, web content, etc.). The Director will have expert knowledge and proven results developing and leading marketing initiatives and is tech-savvy and intuitive with ideas to reinforce and scale strategies. The Director will work in concert with the university’s brand strategy and collaborate with University Marketing staff to ensure consistency in messaging.Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead marketing strategy development for SPCE’s portfolio of programs and products via innovative and integrated marketing campaigns; identify and manage marketing budget. Identify target audiences and develop tailored marketing campaigns to attract prospective students. Lead the execution of targeted program- and audience-specific marketing plans that include advertising on traditional, digital, and streaming platforms as well as traditional forms of marketing. Develop and manage the marketing budget to ensure financial optimization and that targets are met. Manage the production process of marketing collateral, including coordinating with third-party vendors for graphic design, video production, and printing needs. Supervise two enrollment specialists and one graduate assistant. Set performance goals (including targets for lead funnel engagement), conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback and training to enhance performance. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within enrollment management.
Lead data analysis on marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effectiveness, make mid-course corrections, and to reach awareness and enrollment goals; creates and maintains regular reports regarding campaign performance.
Manage strategic internal and external communication initiatives. Collaborate closely with University Marketing in production of campaigns to ensure brand alignment and consistency.Assist in the management of a content calendar and project timelines, as well as recruiting timelines for multiple programs. Work with campus and

partners to find the best solutions for recruitment and marketing needs while meeting deadlines.
Oversee the strategic management of all student recruitment efforts to position

for growth in all program areas. Manage the inquiry-to-enrollment student communication plan for programs, ensuring that all prospective student journey communications are accurate, professional and appropriately reflect the values of
SPCE
and
JMU . Utilize digital platforms and tools to develop and execute email campaigns, leveraging segmentation and personalization techniques to maximize impact. Design outreach strategies for students who inquire but do not enroll, and students who have previously enrolled but have stopped out.QualificationsSignificant professional experience in enrollment management or other related field; new customer generation, membership growth, or other areas will be considered.Strong understanding of admissions processes, enrollment trends, and best practices in higher education.Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive marketing/communication and enrollment/revenue generation plans.Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering collaboration, appreciation, continuous improvement, and a positive work culture.Exceptional written and oral communication skills.Demonstrated organizational ability and solid attention to detail, data-informed decision making, and project management skills to manage multiple competing priorities.Experience with digital advertising platforms, CRMs, and social media channels.Experience with website
