The Opportunity:
This role is a member of a team that comprises the critical portfolio management and reporting foundation of all lending origination and underwriting activity.
As an Analyst in this team your primary responsibility will be the ongoing management of the Project Finance loan portfolio, with an emphasis on credit monitoring, analytics and internal reporting.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:
· Maintain the integrity of Project Finance portfolio data (Borrower information, loan exposure, covenant monitoring, rating/periodic credit reviews, other risk reporting metrics such as PD, LGD, RWA, etc.)
· Diligent and proactive credit monitoring through the review of all covenanted financial and project information (e.g. financial models, Borrower and Adviser operational / construction progress reports) as well as compliance with all regular reporting activities in line with the bank’s policy and procedures
· Assume key role in handling internal system processing (Vantage) including GRID, FINAN, TSC, Risk Rater
· Lead and coordinate the Know-Your-Customer due diligence process for new and existing borrowers including client outreach for documentation requirements and liasing with ING’s CDD colleagues
· Support Portfolio Management Team Lead to deliver portfolio/risk reports in relation to the Project Finance team’s management of its lending portfolio in the Americas
· Validate and provide the Origination team with portfolio information
· Coordinate compliance with quarterly and annual risk review deadlines, renewal of risk ratings and regular UCC filings/expiries
· Support various internal projects in relation to transaction management and regulatory reporting, stress testing, portfolio concentration/ income analysis, internal audit, risk rating calibration, etc.
· Work with internal stakeholders such as global business management teams, Risk Management, Operations, Agency to automate and streamline portfolio management and reporting processes and establish best practices
· Coordinate and work with offshore portfolio support teams
· Become the super-user and day-to-day functional user support for various ING’s portfolio management systems to help management and Origination team utilize available information effectively
· Coordinate with KYC/CDD team
Profile:
Qualifications / Education:
BA/BS in finance/economics/accounting/management/engineering (or similar); CFA a plus
Experience / Knowledge:
· At least 1 year of relevant experience credit/accounting/business analytics/project management/portfolio reporting and/or KYC/Compliance.
Competencies:
· Excellent presentation and communication skills
· Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills with the ability to multitask and deliver under tight deadlines
· Excellent interpersonal and verbal/ written communication skills to ensure effective communication with various local and global teams
· Excellent Microsoft skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
· Experience working with large data (Pivots, V-Lookups) is valued
Other:
Salary range: $100 – $110K
