This position is on the Data Management and Analytics (DMA) team and this role will report directly to the Data Analytics leader. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for all business insights reporting supporting the Sales and Marketing organizations. This person will lead a team of analysts working directly with the Operations team and Business Leadership to fulfill the reporting needs of the business. A successful candidate will understand how best-in-class sales and marketing teams operate and what metrics are most impactful, leveraging that knowledge to partner with the business in architecting and delivering solutions that address business needs and, ultimately, impact business outcomes. Further, the Sr. Manager must
ensure that team resource capacity is optimized, support IT and DMA goals and vision, and understand and support Principle Based Management (PBM) as the basis for developing a growth-oriented team.
A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
* Understand Sales and Marketing business goals, priorities, & key initiatives in the context of data needs and actionable information
* Ability to develop and maintain product relationships with business leaders to partner on identifying, documenting, tracking and fulfilling their needs
* Account for the overall management of DMA Sales and Marketing projects including: timeliness, communications, quality, and identification of client value targeted and delivered
* Define key KPIs working with stakeholders ensuring that there is one global view of how the sales team and marketing team defines success
* Effectively prioritize requests from multiple stakeholders to focus on biggest impact to the business
* Manage projects to completion in a quick and iterative way while delivering quality results
* Leading a team of analysts to create dashboards that provide analysis and actionable intelligence to business leaders
* Develop a deep understanding of key data sources and the processes behind them
* Analyzing data both quantitatively as well as qualitatively while being able to communicate findings in a business context to stakeholders
* Identifying root cause of problems with reports and data sets, working with stakeholders to correct
* Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to test & deliver reports including data engineering teams, business leaders, and end users
* Driving the implementation and adoption of reports and dashboards produced
* Documentation of reports, KPIs, and calculations to ensure standardization across the business
Basic Qualifications:
* Experience in Sales, Marketing, Sales or Marketing Operations, or directly supporting these teams in a SaaS organization
* Experience with reporting best practices with an emphasis on using reports to drive actions and results
* Project/resource management experience
* Team leader/people management experience
* Experience with analytical/BI tools such as Birst, Domo, Tableau, Power BI with an emphasis on using these tools to tell stories with data
* Excel and PowerPoint experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
* Knowledge of SQL
