Job Summary
The Alternative Teacher Certification Program (ATCP) Instructional Supervisor provides instructional
supervision within the Alternative Teacher Certification program. The primary role of the Instruction Supervisor is to oversee the field
observation cycle for student teachers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for providing instructional leadership to
faculty, staff and students within the program; including student advising, recruitment and evaluation of instruction, summary of student
class evaluation, updating program curriculum, interacting with textbook vendors and the development of new continuing education
courses/programs.
Assist with the interview process for hiring quality instructional staff as approved by the Program Director.
Assist the Director in fulfilling the goals and objectives of the Alternative Teacher Certification Program.
Assist the Director
in facilitation of the delivery of non-credited courses and programs including evening and weekend offerings.
Responsible for
instructional aspects of courses and programs assigned including oversight of the instructional staff, instructional observations, develop
and monitor scheduling of classes, class evaluations of instruction, and student advising.
Oversee instructional operations at
campus sites.
Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. * Minimum of three (3)
years related work experience in a public education setting. * Staff and faculty management experience preferred.
Licensing & Certification
* Teacher Certification required * Administrator Certification preferred *
Valid Texas Driver License

Working Conditions
General Office. Must be
able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items
weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner. Must access, input and
retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements. May be required to work after hours
to include weekends and holidays.
