Position Summary:
The Patient Sitter functions under the supervision of a first line supervisor and performs delegated functions. The primarily responsibility of this position is sitting with and/or monitoring patients in person or remotely who are “High Risk for Falls” and/or risk of injury to self or others. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to perform job. Completes a competency skills checklist within orientation period after employment.
Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Provides services to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
