We are seeking a manager of Patient Access for HCA FL Highlands Hospital to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Highlands Regional Medical Center is now HCA Florida Highlands Hospital. Our 126-bed acute care facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and has been serving Florida’s Sebring community since 1965. We offer a wide range of medical specialties, including women’s care and 24/7 emergency care with the area’s only dedicated Senior Emergency Room (ER). We also provide minimally-invasive surgery, orthopedic and spine surgery and general surgery.

As the Manager of Patient Access you will be responsible for assisting the Director in daily operations of all Patient Access functions and serves as the liaison between the Shared Service Center (SSC) and the facility.

What you will do in this role:• Perform patient registration function when needed to ensure wait times are kept to a minimum
• Model AIDET guidelines in all interactions with the patient and ensure staff are adhering to the patient experience expectations.
• Ensure QA on registrations for all areas of Registration
• Provide continuous training for and communicates changes to existing employees
• Prepare payroll and completes monthly work schedules as needed to ensure adequate staffing levels
• Follow-up on patient complaints promptly

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required. Equivalent work experience may substitute education requirements.
• Minimum three years’ experience in related area with two of these years being healthcare management experience OR completion of the Parallon Manager Trainee Program.
