As the Director of Child and Adolescent Services at Horizon, you will….
Monitor patient volume and determine staffing levels relative to community need for child, adolescent, and school-based programming.
Review of operational data, processes, and protocols with Child/Adolescent Program Director(s). Understand and interpret all reports to teach and train Program Director(s) to understand and utilize these reports with their teams.
Prepare for annual trends related to child/adolescent/school-based services including proactive communication with schools/parents prior to and during summer months to ensure clinical and operational goals are met during summer.
Coordinate with all relevant school parties (IT, Administration, School Counselors) to ensure clinical and operational goals are met in school-based relationships.
Provide individual and group supervision related to child/adolescent/school-based clinical work.
Coordinate with CQI and clinical services to develop initiatives and rollouts.
Monitor, implement, and track new pilots, processes, and systemic changes in Child/Adolescent/School-based service lines.
Weekly review of FTEs, staffing, and productivity
Attend and co-facilitate Adolescent Alternate Care and Special Review
Triage and assist Program Directors in crisis management response and plans to promote best outcomes.
Respond to and resolve patient complaint calls if/when Program Director is unable to reach a resolution with patients and families.
Develop and review annual budget planning for child/adolescent/school-based service lines.
Outreach to local schools to assess need for services and/or staff resources.
Participate in community speaking engagements relative to child/adolescent/school-based services.
Represent the organization at community presentations.
Maintain positive relationships with all referral’s sources with specific focus on child, adolescent, and school-based referral sources.
Act as primary point of contact for school administrators.
Meet with regulatory entities during site audits and formal review process. Participate in PIP/CAP plans, responses, and execution.
Monitor grants affiliated with child/adolescent/school-based service lines to ensure clinical/operational execution. Monitor collection and tracking of relevant data.
Proactively responsible to assure staff stability and quick filling of vacant positions.
Lead and develop staff for maximum engagement.
Provide direct weekly/biweekly 1:1 clinical and operational supervision to Child/Adolescent Program Director(s)
Complete annual reviews and ongoing development of all supervisees
Perform interviews for child/adolescent clinical staff. Determine hire date, training location and makes offers of employment.

What makes you a great candidate?

Minimum 5 years of substance use disorder, mental counseling experience with focus on child/adolescent population.
Master’s degree in health and human services field required.
Education/Licensure/Certificates: LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, or CASAC required.
Proficiency in computer navigation, Microsoft office products, Electronic medical record software.
Location:
699 Hertel Ave, Buffalo NY. You must be willing to travel locally to other clinics as needed.
Hours:
Full time position, Monday-Friday; 8:30am-5pm; with flexibility to work early mornings or evenings on occasion.
Compensation
Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The salary range of pay for this position is $78,750 – $102,500. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.
