About this Position:
Developing and executing product and business strategy in a world of rapid technological and social change requires a highly capable, highly knowledgeable, and highly engaged team. Sustainability Development Business Unit is tasked with navigating the path for Honda’s future Connected, Autonomous, Shared, Electric, and Energy products, services, and businesses. The team will focus on building and sustaining Honda’s core brand values and enhancing brand image and competitiveness in the marketplace by innovating, incubating, selecting, developing, applying, and operating new businesses, features, products, and services with responsibility for their profitability, competitiveness, and customer satisfaction for Honda in North America.
Resource Circulation Unit is responsible for establishing Honda’s North American Resource Circulation strategy and support the overall Sustainability strategy to reach Carbon Neutrality by 2050. Specifically, Resource Circularity Business Analyst is responsible to support and administer the implementation and execution of Resource Circularity projects by providing the global and regional regulatory and market data as it applies to product journey, including but not limited to areas of financial/budgetary transactions, operational tasks and administrative functions to support the unit and department. Working closely with department management & project leaders in both internal and external coordination to support and lead assigned tasks to realize challenges/risks that require initiative to counter-measure exposure and successful launches
Responsibilities include:
· Coordination of strategy development: Collect, analyze-summarize and report to business development projects & cross function alignment including coordinating internal and external meetings, clarifying action items and issuing meeting minutes and reports.
· Policy, regulations and operations to capture opportunities in the market.
· Coordinate strategic projects in committees cross-functionally and cross-division teams towards common goals to minimize risk of not achieving regulatory mandates, including communication with Business Development Leader, other Honda affiliates and external parties.
· Investigate, analyze, create, propose and implement new opportunities for future Resource Circularity business processes that influence from end of life vehicle collection of recycling, reuse of materials
· Budget Management – Plan, review and submit budget plans and shopping carts and invoices for assigned projects.
· Develops policies to increase efficiency by necessary process changes throughout the RC supply value chain while ensuring quality and safety
· Research innovative new business initiatives, pilot programs, and regional rollouts; based on results, makes, and recommends.
Who we are seeking:
Required Work Experience:
· 1-2 years managing projects preferred
· 1-2 years developing and implementing new business plans to meet future objectives preferred
· 1-2 years supporting developing strategies and solutions for resource circulatory related business, technology and initiatives preferred
· Experience in research, planning and establishing processes
· Experience in bringing projects from idea to implementation
· Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements and concepts of resource circularity
· Knowledge of EV, environmental, sustainability and recycling industries
Required Education:
· BA/BS in business, market research or related work experience
Desired skills:
· Ability to support a fast paced project team with flexibility and to support needs of project leaders in a functional area
· Knowledge of fundamental resource circularity concepts, policies and initiatives
· Strong enthusiasm for, and knowledge of the automotive and IT industry; including brands, products and technology
· Demonstrate excellent planning, negotiating, analytical and presentation skills
· Knowledge of automotive development disciplines, especially in R&D and manufacturing preferred
· Ability to comprehend, identify and analyze policies that influence resource circularity strategies
· Strong proficiency with MS Office is required, especially PowerPoint and Excel
· Strong presentation skills and confidence in interacting with all levels of management and executives
· Drivers license required and ability to operate a diverse assortment of automobiles, proficiency with manual transmission preferred
· Strong critical thinker and have the ability to make logical connections between ideas
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookup, etc)
· Proficient using query languages
· Strong communication skills (written, verbal and visual) with excellent attention to details
· Strong problem solving skills
· Strong planning and scheduling capabilities with strong customer orientation focus
· Identify areas for improvement and implement a sustainable solution

· 80% – Normal office conditions – desk job with laptop, meetings, conference calls
· 20% – Travel – California, Ohio, Japan, partner offices as required
