This position is based in Watford, England, at the Hilton Regional Headquarters: Europe, just outside of London.
We are looking to hire an exception Senior Manager who will be a key member of Hilton’s global Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team. In this role, you will support the evolution and advancement of Hilton’s unified global ESG strategy, adapting it for the region, and leading ESG-related initiatives across EMEA.
Key responsibilities include:
Represent and lead implementation of Travel with Purpose, our ESG strategy, across functions together with business partners, in EMEA. Maintain and develop alignment within the EMEA sub-regions and functions.
Act as an advisor and subject matter expert on ESG matters, best practices, and maintain continual awareness of ESG trends, to help evolve and strengthen our strategy.
Build strong internal and external relationships and partnerships that advance ESG in EMEA, at all levels and among hotel teams, Travel with Purpose champions, and corporate leadership.
Represent Hilton on association committees, collaborating to make a collective impact.
Present on ESG and Travel with Purpose to internal and external audiences, including interactions with owners and management companies to explain Travel with Purpose.
Contribute to Hilton annual reporting efforts including capturing EMEA success stories for the ESG Annual Report, website, social media, and internal articles.
Analyze the needs of the region and contribute to and lead the development of global Travel with Purpose and LightStay resources and regionalize content for EMEA, working alongside APAC and Americas ESG leads and subject matter experts.
Drive implementation, activation, and tracking of efforts in EMEA against 2023 and 2030 goals.
Align and lead social impact efforts such as for Earth Day and Travel with Purpose week.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced ESG professional and believe success in this role requires:
Subject matter expertise in corporate sustainability, social impact, and ESG trends, best practices.
Outstanding written, analytical, and verbal communications skills.
Outstanding project management, organizational, and collaboration skills that ensure teamwork across all levels.
Motivated and collaborative self-starter to represent global team independently in EMEA.
Demonstrated relationship building skills, and ability to build trust, advise and support others.
Demonstrated ability to handle several projects at once collaborating with multiple stakeholders in many locations.
Ability to work across global, virtual, and cross-functional teams.
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
Strong professional work experience.
ESG, sustainability, social impact, and energy efficiency program experience in the private sector.
Experience interpreting complex ESG trends to inform strategic planning.
Experience engaging in and quantifying social impact including community volunteerism.
Knowledge of data management associated with carbon reporting standards, internal/external ESG reporting, and third-party frameworks (e.g., CDP, DJSI, UN SDGs).
Strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues effectively and creatively while maintaining a high level of flexibility, partnership, and integrity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT)
