Our client a one of the largest and most professional cannabis distribution companies located in Southern California is currently seeking a solid and business focused Human Resources manager to join their HR team. This HR Manager will be responsible for working across the HR function to support the team and plays a crucial part by helping with a variety of HR activities including recruiting, onboarding, culture initiatives, payroll/benefits, employee relations, compliance, etc.
Serve as the primary POC for all internal/external HR inquiries.-Process multi-state payroll and benefits.-Stay current and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.-Coordinate between all divisions to ensure proper information flow and maintain accurate and up to date employee data across multiple databases.-Provide coaching and direction regarding hiring, onboarding, development, performance management, change management, succession planning, employee relations and retention.-Partner with managers to recruit and select qualified candidates to fill open positions on teams.-Prepare and deliver appropriate onboarding tools and information to new hires and managers.-Coordinate and execute the communication and the components of performance management, succession planning, employee development and performance reviews.-Coach leaders and managers on processes and conversations to address and resolve employee relations issues and consult with legal partners when necessary.-Conduct exit interviews, share feedback with leaders, and follow the appropriate termination process as dictated by the situation.-Manage ad-hoc projects and support other projects and company initiatives.-Assist in the processing payroll bi-weekly and manage the bonus process. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience-3 – 5 years human resources experience-Experience should include all areas of human resources-Attention to detail, follow-up and excellent organization skills-Ability to set priorities and re-prioritize as necessary-Excellent written and verbal communication skills-Strong employee relations expertise-Experience with project management-Flexible and creative problem solver-High degree of professionalism and confidentiality
