The DPRO will be responsible for managing multiple efforts simultaneously and help build and execute a pipeline of targeted provider candidates to drive recruiting and retention efforts. Additionally, upon hire, this role will coordinate the management of onboarding with new physicians and ensure a smooth and successful transition to their new practice. Lastly, the Director will serve HVP in a corporate capacity by helping build and extend HVP’s brand as an MSO and partner with a variety of third-party aggregators or sources of clinical talent. The Director reports to HVP’s COO. Key interdependencies include existing partner physicians, Vice President of Human Resources, Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management (credentialing), Practice Administrators, Director of FP&A, and HVP’s third-party search partners. Learn more: Essential Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate search processes across national platform for physicians and mid-level providersTogether with third party search firms and other recruiting sources, manage and report progress through a multi-practice pipeline.
Maintain pace and performance through interview and hiring cycles and report progress regularly to HVP management. Help define and refine search parameters for physicians and mid-level providers across different tenures and sub-specialties. Manage and perform search parameters for defined needs; adjust per market and candidate feedback Review and improve interview materials and other assessment tools. Coordinate “white glove”, end-to-end recruiting process alongside partner group physician leaders for all prospective candidates.Lead and execute hiring and onboarding programs across practices.Conduct and facilitate references, including reviews of clinical competency as guided by HVP physicians.Prepare formal offers; legal, compensation modeling.Provide education for prospective physicians surrounding compensation models, partnership models, and HVP’s relationship with partner practices.Manage relocation services.Coordinate credentialing process via RCM team.Provide orientation to HVP and practices.Support local communications / PR and marketing around hires.Solicit feedback over first year (30/60/90/180+) and create actionable interventions to improve process and provider experience.
Develop proprietary sourcing channels with fellowships and industry organizations.Build relationships with targeted academic programs and fellowships.Work closely with HVP and physician leadership to gain leverage from industry associations (e.g., ACC) to build brand awareness and cultivate long-term relationships and hiring “brand” as MSO. Other Responsibilities: Help shape and refine provider compensation models on a national basis. Attend industry conferences where appropriate. Other duties as assigned by the COO. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred (business, healthcare management, HR)Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in healthcare talent acquisition, with demonstrated performance of managing search, evaluation, hiring, and onboarding processes.Proven, progressive role(s) in managing third party search firms.Experience working directly and building trusting relationships with physicians.Familiarity and compliance with healthcare regulations and managementAbility to manage multiple work streams, projects, tasks and goals. Supervisory Responsibility: More indirect responsibility initially, as VP will support third party search firms and associated budget. Work Environment: This job operates in a hybrid work environment with the expectation that the position will need to report to the corporate office in Deerfield, IL on occasion. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily a desk position, requiring sitting longer hours at the computer typing on a keyboard. Days/Hours: This is a full-time position, the schedule of which is determined by the Supervisor. Given the nature of the role, and need to communicate with physicians, before and after hours availability may be needed on a semi-regular basis.Dress attire required: Determined by MSO management.Travel: Travel will be required to affiliated physician practices (-2x / month) and quarterly off-sites.
