Graceland University has a full-time, eleven-month administrative position with faculty status open for a Site Director of the School of
Education housed on the Independence Campus.
Responsibilities:
Coordinating the enrollment and
administrative operations of the completion programs within the School of Education and teaching up to 6 sh of coursework per semester.
Specific duties include: manage the day-to-day operations of campus operations; training/mentoring and conduct peer evaluations of adjunct
faculty; communicating with all departments dealing with recruitment, enrollment, and retention of students, coordinating practica and
student teacher placements for the completion program; conducting information and orientation meetings for students, faculty, cooperating
teachers, and staff, serving as liaison with area school systems/community colleges; maintaining student teacher records; assisting students
with licensure requirements; producing and maintaining clinical experience publications; providing personal advisement and counsel to
students; representing the college at various functions; and other duties as assigned. Must be willing to travel off-campus and to distance
education environments. The site director must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with area school systems, the general
public, college administration, faculty, staff, and students.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree from a
regionally accredited institution. A minimum of three years public school teaching experience is preferred.
