Position Overview
As the New Business Director, you will be the driving force behind our new business sales efforts. You’ll be a vital individual contributor, responsible for pursuing and securing new business opportunities through strategic business development and delivering compelling presentations that position Soulsight as a leader in the marketplace.
This role offers remote work flexibility anywhere in the United States, with occasional travel to our headquarters in Chicago, Illinois, as required. You will report directly to our Chief Executive Officer and play a pivotal role in shaping our company’s growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
Exceed sales goals set by the Chief Executive Officer
Collaborate with our executive leadership team to craft value-focused presentations tailored to each client, addressing both business and human needs while highlighting our unique selling points
Oversee the creation and development of presentation materials and room engagement strategies
Manage the development, customization, and delivery of RFP and RFI responses
Cultivate a deep understanding of consumer goods and services, drawing from best-case studies to bolster our presence across various consumer touch-points, including brand strategy, brand identity, packaging, point of sale, and other brand applications
Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, consistently meeting tight deadlines
Skills And Qualifications
Profound knowledge of integrated new business strategies, encompassing proactive targeting, RFI/RFP response, process optimization, and pricing
Demonstrated business acumen, offering strategic guidance to secure new business opportunities
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven and strategic mindset
Exceptional organizational skills, results-oriented, and highly motivated
Outstanding listening, writing, editing, and verbal presentation abilities, with a persuasive communication style
Collaborative and engaging interpersonal skills
Commitment to high standards of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness
Adept at managing client expectations
Effective networking capabilities
Familiarity with emerging solutions, technologies, and platforms such as LinkedIn and CRM systems
Proficiency in delivering compelling brand stories in a public forum
Keen attention to detail
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels of an organization, including executive leadership and C-suite executives
Entrepreneurial spirit, proactive approach, and genuine authenticity
Enthusiasm for business growth and a tenacity for hunting new opportunities
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred Or Equivalent Work Experience
Minimum of 10 years of proven new business development experience, including roles in consultancy, agency environments, or brand marketing
