Responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you will work under the direct supervision of the Critical Incident Management RN Supervisor, contributing to Critical Incident Reporting (CIR) data entry activities. Your role involves obtaining, organizing, and analyzing data, utilizing data mining tools and software systems. Some of your specific responsibilities include:
Performing intake and data entry using multiple screens and platforms.
Verifying the accuracy of data entered into the Critical Incident Reporting Portal, correcting inaccuracies, and updating the portal accordingly.
Collaborating with the CIR team in routine meetings to identify issues, trends, best practices, and process improvement activities.
Maintaining effective communication, both verbally and in writing, internally and externally.
Retrieving specific medical information from medical records.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
A high school diploma plus one to three years of office/business experience; call center experience is preferred, and customer service skills are highly valued.
Experience in data entry and medical records.
Strong written communication skills, including business writing and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to create, sort, and analyze reports using tools like Excel and Access.
Familiarity with basic medical terminology.
Ability to sustain quality standards and type at least 30 words per minute with 90% accuracy.
