Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to support the efficient operation of the district office within the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission. Working under the guidance of the District Commander, an Indiana State Excise Police lieutenant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our team.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update filing, mailing, and database systems.
Handle administrative activities such as sorting mail, ordering supplies, and copying information.
Coordinate the work activities of administrative and support services, including preparing correspondence, maintaining reference materials, and updating files, forms, and reports.
Answer and direct incoming correspondence to the appropriate individuals.
Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports.
Maintain forms and filing processes.
Prepare information and take notes for meetings as needed.

Qualifications For Success
To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications:
General knowledge of office administration functions.
Extensive familiarity with business-related software, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Thorough understanding of available records and resource materials, with the ability to trace required information.
In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations affecting the division within the agency or institution.
Effective communication skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work.
The capability to establish cooperative work relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
