Provide communications and event management support to a program and/or unit. This position will interact on a regular basis with unit staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: students. This position may supervise assigned program staff.
Job Duty 1 –
Maintain unit website and the development of newsletters, annual reports, and other related communications.
Job Duty 2 –
Facilitate workshops on various topics related to written, verbal, and visual communications appropriate for business settings.
Job Duty 3 –
Provide event management for unit/dept events, including budget development, planning, and logistics.
Job Duty 4 –
Coach students or faculty in communications to improve their skills when writing consulting reports and giving presentations to corporations.
Job Duty 5 –
Develop a systematic approach to determine program outcomes and measure effectiveness.
Job Duty 6 –
Investigate and propose continuous program enhancements.
Job Duty 7 –
Perform other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Business Management, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Four to five years of job-related experience
Salary Range: $60,846-$82,750/yr
Job Grade: A9
SKILLS
Requires excellent written and verbal communications skills; detail and deadline-oriented with superior organizational skills; professional-level writing and editing skills required; excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; excellent ability to manage time. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software.
