Job Description:

• Research and present color palette, key trends in sensibility, fabric direction and silhouette to the merchant team for Seasonal Inspiration
• Execute tech packs for overseas development in a timely fashion, and sketch flat sketches to illustrate garment construction.
• Ensure that all recommendations cover line plan and business needs supplied from the Merchant
• Present each line to the merchant team for Pre-line Adoption via sketches, fabrics, colors, and trims
• Partner with retail merchant team for prototype adoption against trends and needs
• Review, present and provide feedback on all protos with merchant team
• Attend all fittings and make necessary changes in order to meet business needs
• Approve and comment on all lab dips and trims for Line Adoption
• Attend weekly business review and seasonal recap meetings
• Demonstrate knowledge of Company Stores product selling and adapt leanings to future line development
• Translate knowledge of licensee line innovations in order to keep Company Store merchants updated
• Visit Company Stores quarterly in order to gain knowledge of product selling and shop competition
• Visit and shop full price marketplace quarterly

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in fashion design
• Must have extensive CUT and SEW Knits experience
• 7+ years proven experience as a designer
• Excellent creativity and delegation skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator
• Knowledge of pattern making, draping and garment construction
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain organization
