The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the HR Department
The Human Resources Business Partner will run the daily functions of the HR department including hiring and interviewing staff, enforcing company policies and practices, working with business partners to process and troubleshoot benefits and pay issues, employee relations, and staff training.
Recruits, screens, assists managers with interviews and hiring decisions
Responsible for all onboarding duties and administers mandatory training as needed
Evaluates or reviews evaluations of performance on all employees; recommends promotion, termination, disciplinary, and commendatory actions of personnel.
Updates or creates job descriptions as needed
Works with CEO and managers on compensation analysis to set correct pay rates for new or updated positions
Assists with career development, succession planning, and retention
Create or coordinate training and leadership development for staff and managers
Responsible for all off-boarding duties and coordinates and/or conducts exit interviews
Responsible for Practice compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
Implements personnel policies and procedures; recommends policy changes relevant to the area to the CHRO.
Communicates changes in practice personnel policies and procedures and works with managers to ensure proper compliance is followed.
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Participates in conflict resolution and mediation; conducts investigations when necessary
Consults with CHRO or legal counsel as appropriate, and/or as directed by the CEO regarding employment matters.
Coordinates health and life insurance enrollments and communicates with the benefits vendor point of contact concerning routine administration of programs; implements open enrollment as directed by benefits vendor point of contact.
Assures compliance with FMLA in conjunction with benefits vendor point of contact.
Responds to unemployment claims, files appeals and represents organization in appeals cases, and monitors monthly charge statements
Maintains Practice employee directory and personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
Maintains Practice keys and key log in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Coordinates staff recognition programs and events
Serve as Notary Public for the Practice
