This is an exciting opportunity to join footwear product development team to develop market leading own brand product. This will be fast-paced role to support the Senior Technologist and product development team to achieve great product standards and to meet customer expectations. There will be lots of opportunities to learn about materials, constructions, testing, fitting, grading, legal requirements etc…

Key role task:

• Manage fit model bookings.
• Fit meeting prep. – arranging previous counter samples.
• Assisting in fit meeting to identify any fit issues and make fit / construction notes.
• Sample management – shipping, tracking, prep documentation.
• Manage test reports – Follow-up’s & approval.
• Manage 3rd party inspection booking.
• Manage approved samples in sample closet.
• Daily communication with overseas vendors.
• Manage wear trial samples & feedbacks.
• Constantly go thru customer reviews in website and update team on negative reviews. And go thru physical customer returns.
• Support internal teams like customer service, wholesale team, etc. with specifications.

Requirements:

• Must have Fashion Design or related College degree with strong passion on footwear technology.
• Understanding of basic footwear terminology, components and constructions is must.
• Must be able to sketch technical footwear drawings.
• Knowledge of development process.
• Technically competent with software programs, Excel / Outlook.
• Knowledge of synthetic materials and leathers.
• Understand design aesthetic and translate it into appropriate product presentations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
